How I see myself. I am a very caring and dedicated individual wishing to enhance for the better the lives of other individuals. I see myself as an enthusiastic and goal oriented professional with great deal of experience working with individuals with acute disorders; providing support to enable service users to help themselves; maintaining professional relationships with service users, acting as a guide, advocate or as a critical therapist.
The essence of my belief is that I am sensitive and caring for diverse client populations. I have the ability and extensive experience in family violence treatment and child abuse and psycho-educational assessments and therapeutic interventions. I am comfortable with working independently and have the experience to handle pressure. I see myself being professional, who has exceptional interpersonal skills, I would rather see the positive in others and situations, I’m self-motivated and committed to excellence
My strengths that I bring as a therapist are the knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, counseling and guidance. I also, have an understanding of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders that will help students who struggle with more than their academics. I can provide my clients with excellent strategies. I will help them provide solutions that will achieve their therapeutic goals. I know how to quickly identify problem areas and implement effective solutions to meet their goals. I have a strong sense of responsibility not only to myself but also to my clients. I believe in upholding solid professional standards and I strive for an excellent track record of dependability. My goal as a counselor is to maintain focus on achieving results while implementing solutions to meet a diversity of needs of my clients.
